On October 29th at 7:00 PM there will be an amazing ensemble led by Aaron Johnson performing Mr. Rivers large ensemble works featuring some of Pittsburgh's finest musicians. Also special guests from the original New York and Florida Sam Rivers RivBea big bands (Steve Coleman, Craig Harris, Joseph Daley, Doug Matthews) will be joining the ensemble. You might think you know Sam’s original composition Beatrice, but have you heard Sam's big band arrangement of this standard, or any of his many other large ensemble masterpieces ?
