EFW continues its 2020 season of live concerts in Beacon, NY with a performance by the gifted tuba and euphonium player, Joseph Daley and his accomplished Tuba Trio. An acclaimed instrumentalist and composer, Daley — whose past musical associates have encompassed everyone from Anthony Braxton to Taj Mahal, Kronos Quartet to Natalie Merchant, among many others — is joined in this group by Warren Smith on a drums and percussion and Scott Robinson on reeds, and for this performance will feature very special guest Tani Tabbal on drums and percussion. They explore the improvisational concepts of the visionary composer and multi-instrumentalist Sam Rivers with whom Daley performed for many years, and to whose memory this group is dedicated.
